Vintage Olive Sage Green & Rust Transferware Polychrome Plate Royal Doulton Pomeroy Urn with Flowers

$99.99

Brand Royal Doulton

One of my favorite patterns is Pomeroy by Royal Doulton.  I came across a set of 6 of these about 8 or 9 years ago and had never seen them in this colorway...still haven't found any others either.  This plate is a vintage, circa 1930, transferware piece in an unusual color, a sage / olive green transfer.  The transfer features the most beautiful colors of hand painted rusts, pinks and subtle golds.  It is an unusually beautiful color combination and makes a stunning presentation for and Fall table.  The border is a mix of fruits and flowers intertwined with scroll work. The face of the plate depicts an antique urn filled with flowers setting on the edge of a brick wall.
Measures: 10"
Condition: Very good. No chips or cracks, some crazing is present, minor scratches to some of the color but barely noticeable.
Marked: Made In England, Royal Doulton England, Pomeroy and hand numbered
