Antique Ridgway Brown & Green Bi Color Transferware Tea Cup & Saucer Garden in Church Yard

Brand Ridgway
Early Staffordshire
TWO COLOR TRANSFERWARE TEACUP & SAUCER
Circa 1891-1919
For consideration I am offering this stunning, antique teacup and saucer from Staffordshire England’s Ridgway potteries. It is potted in a rare two color transfer. After 1828, newly developed technology allowed potters to produce two and three color transfer wares. The pattern on this set is so sweet. It looks like a family of four (Mother, Father, son & daughter) playing and walking through a garden. It is titled, “In the Church Yard”. Pretty golden brown and green transfers. The cup is decorated inside and out. Simply beautiful and a rare find!
Measures: Saucer: 5.75" Cup: 4.75" handle to opposite rim
Condition: No chips or cracks, mild crazing, stilt marks (as shown) on bottom of saucer
