For consideration is this Staffordshire bowl in the Alhambra pattern. The lakeside setting of Alhambra depicted on the face of the bowl is a Spanish palace / fortress which means 'The Red One' , and occupies a hilly terrace southeast of Granada. It is seen here set in a lavish setting of foliage and flowers. It was built in the 14th century. Today it is one of Spains most famous tourist attractions. The border is a blend of roses, vines and scrolls interspersed with floral bouquets.
