No. 39 — Wings Among the Roses

This lovely vintage Johnson Brothers plate features an abundant bouquet of oversized blue cabbage roses, delicate buds, and trailing foliage, all beautifully arranged against a soft ivory background. Its gently scalloped edge adds to the romantic English cottage charm of this timeless floral design.

Along one side, I've added a magnificent jeweled dragonfly, its shimmering blue-green wings, sparkling accents, and delicate golden body beautifully complementing the rich blue transferware roses. Positioned as though it has just fluttered into the garden, the dragonfly brings a sense of movement, whimsy, and new life to the original design.

Part of Fragments of Grace: The Beautifully Broken Collection, this one-of-a-kind piece is a gentle reminder that beauty can emerge even after seasons of brokenness. Just as the roses continue to bloom and the dragonfly takes flight, God's grace reminds us that our stories are still unfolding — and that even what seems imperfect can be renewed with beauty, hope, and purpose.

Decorative use only. Not intended for food use. Vintage wear, crazing, chips, cracks, repairs, or age-related imperfections may be present and are part of the story of the piece.

Each piece in the Fragments of Grace collection includes a keepsake card with the piece’s title, collection number, and the story behind Fragments of Grace — a reminder that broken does not mean finished, and beauty can still be found in what has been lovingly restored.
