Here's a charming example of a Staffordshire platter from the Aesthetic Movement by T & R Boote in the Yosemite pattern. This extra large, heavy platter is a brown transfer with hand enamelled colouring of green, peach-orange, pink and teal.  The Yosemite series depicts various views of Yosemite national park. This platter features a pretty bouquet of daisies and wildflowers and a unique, uniformed floral and vine border. The rim, border and face all have gold highlights, some of which are worn. This platter has a note handwritten on masking tape on the back stating: Belonged to my Maternam Grandmother, Anna Elizabeth Ruchtl Schuetz Born 1870, Bern, Switzerland.
I did not want to remove it. Absolutely precious!

Measures: 18 x 13
Condition No chips or cracks, some wear/loss to the gold highlights, one tiny mfg flaw just to the left of the floral pattern


T & R Boote were earthenware manufactures in the heart of North Staffordshire, at Burslem, from 1842 to about 1960 and operated at several different potteries.
