Brand Copeland Spode

 From one of Copeland Spodes hunting series which was produced between 1890-1940 this circa 1930's plate with artwork by J F Herring depicts a huntsman  in pursuit of a fox with two dogs at his side. The border on this plate is a wonderful seaweed or coral transfer.  Parts of the scene and border are hand painted with green and burgundy highlights. It is simply stunning!

It has a Gadroon edge (pie crust) which is scalloped.

Measures appx 5.5"
Condtion: No chips or cracks, a bit of crazing

Excellent addition for a transferware collection or lover of English hunt scenes and hunt country!
