Here's a wonderful example of advertising pieces that are so collectable now.  This antique, early 20th Century lidded butter dish was made in the Staffordshire region of England by Crown Devon.  It is advertising for Heath  Livery Hats, one of London's premier hat makers of the 19th and early 20th century. Very difficult to find!

H: 3” W: 5” D: 3”

Condition:  No chips or cracks, nice  condition with some crazing and small staining spots around upper rim of box and bottom of lid.

An ad for Henry Heaths hats reads:

" HENRY HEATH’S Successful system of Head Measurement ensures the luxury of a well-fitting Hat adapted to the form of the wearer’s head. The principle is equally applicable to Hats selected from Stock. Residents in the Country can ensure a comfortable fitting Hat being forwarded by writing for HENRY HEATH’S New Measuring Band, which takes the form and size of head. Post free, with Card of Shapes, &c. Hats forwarded to any part safely in wood boxes. No extra charge.
