Antique Victorian Blue & White Birds & Botanicals Transferware Pitcher
Absolutely stunning antique pitcher.
This antique water pitcher was manufactured Circa 1890-1920 during a period known as the Aesthetic Movement. Originally it was probably part of a bath set to include a slop pail, a shaving mug, a razor box, a chamber pot and soap dish. These pieces are beautiful reminders of past times, whether you use for display in your bathroom, bedroom or repurpose as a utensil holder or other use elsewhere in the home. When I put fresh flowers or greenery in my antique pitchers I normally line them with a plastic bag and fill it with water and then put the flowers in.
Decorated on both sides, in and out of the spout and accented with relief scrolling around the handle and outside of the spout.
Measures: appx 6 1/4" tall
