For consideration is this highly collectible, historical Staffordshire Square shaped plate depicting one of the great places in American history  of the 19th century; Independence Hall.  

Independence Hall is the building where both the United States Declaration of Independence and the United States Constitution were debated and adopted. It is now the centerpiece of the Independence National Historical Park in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania

 The plates image was engraved in copper and produced on transferware. 

The border is surrounded with several cartouches pertaining to significant times and/or peoples of the U.S. history....The Mayflower in Plymouth Harbour, an American Indian on horseback with bow and arrow, a Pilgrim couple watching the Mayflower return, and Pocohontas saving the life of John Smith. 

Measures: appx 8 3/8"

Condition: Tiny chip on back that isn't visible from the top / front of plate.  No other chips or cracks, some crazing commensurate with age
