This is a small coaster or trinket dish by Royal Winton Grimwades of Stoke-On-Trent.  The pattern is called Byzanta Phoenix. This uniquely patterned plate has a soft sheet pattern in blue across the face while the border is a phoenix 🐦‍🔥 in reds and yellow set against a black and cobalt ground.  The contrast between the blue chintz and the black border is so striking. 

Measures appx 4”

Condition:  No chips or cracks.  There is a little crazing and wear around the rim
