Fragments of Grace No. 6 — Among the Gilded Flowers

$108.00

Brand Nancy's Daily Dish

Jeweled garden visitors gather among the gilded flowers of this antique Copeland plate, giving an imperfect piece a new story of beauty, grace, and renewal.  A one-of-a-kind altered antique W. T. Copeland & Sons plate from the Fragments of Grace collection by Nancy’s Daily Dish. Measuring approximately 10" in diameter, this Stoke-on-Trent piece features a soft brown floral transferware design with delicate gilt trim and hand-applied golden highlights.

The plate has been thoughtfully reimagined with jeweled garden visitors — a bee, butterfly, and beetle-like embellishment — placed as though they have gathered among the flowers. Their warm metallic tones, sparkling stones, and winged details echo the original gilt accents in the plate, making the additions feel like a natural extension of the antique design.

To me, these little garden visitors feel like quiet reminders of God’s grace: small signs of beauty, renewal, and purpose resting gently where something once felt broken.

Once imperfect, this piece has been given a new life and a new story. The Gilded Garden is a reminder that beauty can still grow from damaged places, and that even the overlooked can be gathered back into something meaningful.

Decorative use only. Not intended for food use. Vintage wear, crazing, chips, cracks, repairs, gilt loss, or age-related imperfections may be present and are part of the story of the piece.

A one-of-a-kind altered vintage plate from the Fragments of Grace collection by Nancy’s Daily Dish.

This one-of-a-kind altered plate began as an imperfect vintage treasure, already carrying the quiet beauty of age, time, and use. Its soft teal border, gilt highlights, and floral center feel delicate and romantic, as though the blooms were always waiting for something to land among them.

Two butterflies have been added to continue the story of the plate — one a beautifully embroidered  butterfly, rich with texture and dimension, and the other a jeweled butterfly resting along the opposite edge. Together, they seem to hover gently over the flowers, bringing movement, hope, and new life to a piece that might once have been overlooked.

Part of the Fragments of Grace collection, this piece is a reminder that beauty can still emerge from broken or imperfect places. What may have once seemed flawed has been thoughtfully reimagined by hand and given a new story — one of grace, renewal, and beauty after brokenness.

The plate is an antique English piece by Pratt, often referred to as Prattware.
