Wedgwood Etruria Transferware Creamer / Pitcher with Silver Overlay
VERY HARD TO FIND! RARE
Ferrara

Scenic Purple / Plum / Mulberry Transferware

From my personal collection, I am offering this creamer in the pattern entitled Ferrara from Wedgwood potteries. The scene features a stunning ship/port scene surrounded by a floral border of Blue Bells and Phlox.  It is trimmed in silver overlay.

Ferrara is a port in northern Italy and Wedgwood had the design engraved in 1832. The sailing ships were copied from an engraving of Liverpool Docks, England. From the mid-1870's the pattern name was consistently printed on the back of the plates. “Ferrara” has only the one design, that of a border of smaller blooms (their Bluebell border) around the ship with the furled mainmast.

It is marked on the back : Ferrara Etruria England Wedgwood
It is also impressed with the following: 8A80 Wedgwood Made In England

Condition: no chips or cracks, silver needs polishing

Measures 4 1/4" high x 6 1/2" handle to spout (I will be also listing two matching pitchers, both lsmaller and shown in last pic)
