1930 Sadler Tower Brigadoon Teapot Vase Watering Can Purple Transferware

$59.99

Brand Sadler

Antique / Vintage Purple English Transferware Tea Pot (no lid)

Old mark circa 1930’s

This is by Sadler in their Brigadoon pattern which is another version of Spodes Tower.  The Tower pattern is Iconic.  It was first introduced by Spode in 1814 and was derived from a printed illustration  in the book 'Views of Rome and its Vicinity' published around 1796-98.  The Tower pattern depicts the Bridge of Salaro near Rome.  The pattern has been in constant production from its introduction over 200 years ago!

Marked: As shown

Condition: There is no lid and there are a couple of chips / flakes along the inside upper rim (see pics), which is why I think it would be a perfect garden implement for watering small plants or as a small flower pot.
