EXTAL LARGE AESTHETIC MOVEMENT / LATE VICTORIAN BLUE TRANSFERWARE PLATTER
Staffordshire England Circa 1880’s
The clear and crisp EDINBURG pattern features a fantastic banded geometric border which frames a center scene of adorable birds nestled amongst the dogwood branches seeming to overlook a moonlit castle set in a cartouche below. In the foreground is a large handled urn filled with big roses and other flowers. Truly a beautiful piece! (I have kept two for my own collection in a brown polychrome...such a pretty pattern!)
Measures: 16 5/8” x 13 7/8”
Condition: Beautiful! No chips or cracks.
There is crazing present, typical and commensurate to age.
