Antique Aesthetic Movement Dark Chocolate Brown Transferware Lidded Chamber Pot Laurel Leaf Leaves Brown Westhead & Moore 19 C Transfer ware

$129.99

Brand Brown, Westhead and Moore

Manufacturers of high-grade earthenwares and porcelain at Cauldon Place, Hanley (Shelton area), Stoke-on-Trent. Circa 1864-1904, this exceptional chamber pot was made by Brown, Westhead and Moore. The pattern features the darkest brown laurel leaves all around the outside of the pot and over the lid. It is suitable titled, Laurelia. It has a thin border inside the pot as well. This piece dates to the 1881 with a British registration mark (the raised triangle shown on the back) which reads either May or November (I can't ascertain whether it is a K or R indicating which month it is) 10, 1881. It has three markings, the diamond shape raised mark, a printed stamp and impressed into the footrim (unusual!). All marks correspond to this time frame. Truly an exceptional piece in excellent condition!

Measures: 11.25" handle to rim x appx 8" tall with lid in place

Condition: Amazingly wonderful! No chips, no cracks, appears almost brand new.
