This beautiful, antique plate by Copeland Late Spode is a very difficult to find piece. It is done in a two color transfer of brown (border) and grayish-blueish-black on the face. Depicting a rabbit family munching on cabbage leaves it is hand painted within the lines of the transfer in shades of pink, yellow, blue, green and taupe / brown. It features the very famous Tower border in the Delft style. Highly collectible and absolutely stunning anytime of year but especiallyin the Spring.
It has a gadroon edge. VERY hard to find! Circa 1890's

Condition: No chips or cracks with exception to one plate having a couple of small chips on the back side which are not visible to the front, light surface scratches and crazing
Marked with transferware printed stamp, impressed stamp dating between 1894-1910
*There are 2 of these plates available at the time of sale, however there is very subtle color difference mostly seen in the color of the cabbage. They still look nice together as a pair if displayed side by side.
