This antique lamp was made by Maling from Staffordshire region of Newcastle England. It features a stylised version of the Asiatic Pheasants pattern and is decorated on both sides of the lamp in blue transfer with hand painted touches of reds, greens and yellows. The lamp is wired and has hardware though the screw is missing from beneath so the hardware is loose and may need replacing (lamp kits are a few dollars at Walmart or craft stores). The detail is wonderful! It would be darling with a block print, pleated, gingham or buffalo check blue shade!
This is a small to medium base that would work in the kitchen, on a bedside table, bath, laundry or small side table.
Measures The lamp is Appx 9.5” tall x 5" across the base. It is marked on the bottom.
Lamp is wired and works but note that the part the bulb goes in is loose as shown. It will need securing or replacing.
