Beautiful, antique light blue transferware plate in the hard to find Doric Star pattern by Charles Meigh. This plate dates between 1830-49
Measures: 10”
Condition: This gorgeous plate has fine allover crazing and some typical pops in the glaze. No chips or cracks
The Meigh family manufactured high quality stoneware and earthenware pottery in the Old Hall Works Pottery in Hanley, Stoke on Trent, (Staffordshire region) from 1790-1886. Charles Meigh began operating C. Meigh & Son Pottery from the same location in 1834, when he took over the helm from his father, Joe. Meigh exhibited at the Great Exhibition in 1886 and won a medal.
