This romantic Staffordshire plate features a sweet scene of the Tyrol where a goatherd and his shepherdess picnic nestled alongside an alpine lake with their goats nearby. An impressive architectural complex perches on the mountainside in the immediate background, while additional buildings dot the landscape further into the scene. The plate has the most beautiful raised border that resembles antique lace. It is a creamy body with a rich black transfer.
Measures: 9 1/8"
Condition: No chips or cracks. There is crazing all over as shown in close up photos.
