Brand Royal Cauldon

I love the embossed /relief type border around this plate. It really sets it apart and beautifully frames the scene of two men, a boy and dog fishing at a lake near their cottage nestled below a mountain landscape. The glaze on this plate is a creamy color, reminding me of Wedgwood's early cream-ware. It's got a lovely patina!

The plate is by Royal Cauldon of Staffordshire England and dates to about the mid 1920's-40's.

The blue transfer is highlighted with hand painted touches of gold/yellow, green and rusty brown.

Measures 9 3/8"
Condition: Great, no chips, cracks and only fine, age appropriate crazing is present.
