Blue Toile Transferware Plaque English Ironstone The Cottage of Content - Home Poem

Brand Royal Crownford

Here's an adorable little hanging plate / plaque inspired by the Victorian Garden and made by Royal Crownford. The plaque reads:

"As I was wandering o're the green,

not knowing where I went,

by chance I saw a pleasant scene,

 The Cottage of Content"

It has a quaint cottage on a tree lined street.

It has a hole with braided cording  for hanging and would be so pretty with a tied bow of lace or ribbon. (I have removed it because it was badly frayed and faded but took a pic so you can see where the hanging hole is).  Very charming piece!

*last photo shows some of the other vintage plaques available

Measures 6"

Lovely English Ironstone

Condition: Excellent.  No chips or cracks but needs to be cleaned (you can probably see some smudge marks in the pic...they will clean away)
