Circa 1890s Antique Staffordshire Blue Transferware Plate Rural Scenes Farm Cows Pigs George Jones

Brand George Jones & Sons

Here is one of my favorite patterns ever...Farm...produced in the mid 1800's and later as Rural Scenes or Pastoral Davenport by Royal Staffordshire. The scene depicts a farm with cattle grazing in the yard, pigs in the foreground and a boy feeding chickens. There is a huge thatched English birdhouse to the left and a covered bard with hay in the back, closer to the house. The border is a unique and beautiful blend of scrolls, diamonds and grape leaves. It's absolutely beautiful!
These plates date to the late 1800's and were made by George Jones and Sons

Measures: appx 10"

Condition: No chips or cracks to the plate has two shallow chip/flakes on back that do not show from the front. There is some crazing which is commensurate to age...nothing signiificant. Truly beautiful!
