 This antique blue Transferware Staffordshire plate by Brown Westhead and Moore dates to the 1880's which is known as the Aesthetic Movement.   This plate features either cherry or dogwood blossoms around the outer border.  On the center (face) of the plate is a charming, bucolic cottage scene surrounded by birds fluttering over and across the scene and a group of birds in the foreground.  It is such a lovely combination and design!

Brown Westhead Moore were manufacturers of high-grade earthenwares and porcelain at Cauldon Place, Hanley (Shelton area), Stoke-on-Trent. Circa 1864-1904.

Measures: 8"

Condition: Lovely with no chips or cracks, little crazing, subtle surface scratches
