For consideration is this lovely red and white transferware soup tureen with cover. It features a lovely wrap around English pastoral scene of a man on horseback leading a herd of sheep through a small village. There are Tudor style homes/cottages on either side and a church in the background. The scene is also depicted on the top of the lid. The color is bright, glaze still shiny.
Measures 10 1/4" handle to handle x 7 1/2" x 7 1/4" tall
Condition: one tiny chip on the side rim, barely noticeable and doesn't show with lid in place
Marked on bottom as follows: J. Kent fenton England "Ye Old Foley Ware" and impressed with James Kent Longton
