AESTHETIC MOVEMENT Flow BLUE TRANSFERWARE  PLATE

Kent

W H Grindley

For consideration is this aesthetic transferware plate by W H Grindley who operated in Tunstall, Stoke-On-Trent. The registration on the back dates this piece to 1887 and the mark on back was used between 1880-1891. The plate has a beautiful inspired star shape which looks like a kaleidoscope of garlands.  It has an equally pretty border with florals and scrolls  with gentle embossing.

Measures: 10"

Condition: No cracks or chips. There is fine all-over crazing, commensurate to age

This is truly an excellent find!
