Grace in the Mending is a one-of-a-kind piece in the Fragments of Grace collection, created from a footed majolica leaf plate by Bordallo Pinheiro. Its beautiful green leaf form, veining, and softly variegated glaze already feel full of life, but the kintsugi-style repair gives it an even deeper story.

A golden line now follows the place where the piece was once broken, turning the repair into part of its beauty rather than something to hide. Two jeweled bees have been added by hand, as if drawn to the mended place — a quiet reminder that grace often gathers right where life has been fractured.
