GREEN TRANSFER WARE STAGECOACH PLATE

For consideration is this beautiful brown transferware plate by J & G Meakin, of Staffordshire. The scene depicts an old English village complete with Tudor buildings (The White Lion Inn) and cottages with the Stratford Stage coach as it pulls away from the Inn. Nearby, two small children wave farewell. The border is a lovely blend of Victorian scrolls and lush florals.

Measures: 9" x 1 1/4" dee[

Condition: no chips or cracks, there is some typical age crazing
