Huge Antique Aesthetic Movement Staffordshire Serving Platter Teal Transferware Cauldon England Brown Westhead Moore Butterfly Daisies Wildflowers

Brand Brown, Westhead and Moore

Aesthetic Movement Turkey Sized Platter

Brown Westhead Moore
Circa 1891-1904

Brown, Westhead, Moore & Co. were producers of high end earthenwares and porcelains at Hanley, Stoke On Trent from 1862 to 1904

It is a teal green color depicting bunches of wildflowers with a butterfly hovering above.  Stunning detail.  Very heavy and large enough for Thanksgiving turkey, Easter Ham, etc.

For consideration is this rare and wonderful antique compote by Brown Westhead Moore.

Measures 19.5" x 15.75"
Condition: Good, there are a couple of clay bumps and dings around the edge which are darkened and I have shown a close up of.  There are some minor clay pits on the body of the piece, pretty normal for antique earthenware and not distracting.  I have discounted it due to these imperfections but again, still a very displayable, useable and stunning piece.
