Basket of Spring Flowers
For consideration is this wonderfully hand colored polychrome brown transferware plate by Englands Myott & son. It features a Victorian basket filled with an array of spring blossoms, ferns and foliage. The transfer has been hand painted with touches of goldenrod, lilac, rose and green which make a striking color combination. The border is a delicate lace/lattice blend.
Measures 7" (has an indentation like a saucer would have, leading me to believe this originally had a handled soup bowl that went with it)
Condition: No chips or cracks. There is a little crazing
Marked on back: Myott Son & C England Bonnie-Dundee Made in England
