RARE Copeland / Spode Bamboo Relief Creamware Aesthetic Razor Toothbrush Box

Spode / Copeland Cream Ware Razor or Toothbrush Box. This is the Aesthetic style which became very popular in the 1860s and was inspired by Japanese design.  This features a bamboo relief around the base and on the lid with some added gilding.  There is also a leaf shaped finial on the lid.   It is marked with a diamond shaped British registration relief mark (in use from around 1840-1880) It has hand numbering as well.

The piece measures about 8 3/4" in length, 3 3/4" wide and 2 1/2" to the top of the handle.

This piece is in very good condition with the normal crazing and some loss to the gold
