Here is a stunning piece of transferware by Royal Doulton, one of the most famous potters of Staffordshire England. It is a beautiful lidded tureen or covered casserole dish with acharming, bucolic scene set in a rural, alpine landscape. The scenes are a grey transfer and the outer border is a pink floral. the scenes are painted with pink, blue, yellow and green. Both handles, tureen and lid have subtle, mustard colored painted accents, relief work and exquisite detail. Such a stunning piece and very difficult to find!

ABSOLUTELY ONE OF THE MOST BEAUTIFUL & DESIRABLE OF TRANSFER PATTERNS!

Measures 10 3/4" handle to handle 


Condition: Beautiful! No chips or cracks. There is only a little bit of typical, age related crazing present.

Fully marked on the bottom with the Royal Doulton stamp
