Vintage Scenic Red Transfer Scalloped Plate
For consideration here is one of the most beautiful and sought after patterns, Romantic England, in a red transferware plate. It features a stunning view of Haddon Hall where a horseman crosses over the bridge and a young girl stands watching. The border is gorgeous, being of vines and ivy, berries and florals...one of the most beautiful and intricate in detail.
The plate is marked as follows: Romantic England Derbyshire Haddon Hall Dates from 11th century Dorothy vernon eloped from Haddon 16th century with John Manners Heir to Earl of Rutland English Ironstone J & G Meakin
Measures 10"
No chips or cracks, there is heavy crazing and light overall browning. I have four right now and have discounted these by about 25% due the the heavy crazing.
Please view my many other items as I gladly combine shipments where applicable and add pieces on a daily basis. Thank you!
