Vintage black and white Spode Copeland transferware plate made in commemoration of George Washington's presidential inauguration in 1789.  The plates were produced in 1889 and again in the early 1980's to celebrate his Bicentennial inauguration.  They are bordered with a vine of fruits and foliage.  Washington's portrait is framed with a laurel leaf wreath.
Hard to find!  I have 6 at the time of listing.

Measures: 10.25"

Condition: Beautiful! No chips or cracks, some crazing
