Brand Howard Kaplan
This product is unavailable
Hard to find French bread boat by Howard Kaplan.
Made from the original English moulds, these ironstone trays were first used in markets and grocery stores as counter top displays for bread, margarine, butter, lard, meats and cheese. Most were in use between the late 1800's and early 1900's. Today, what remains of these pieces are highly sought and collected and even reproductions like this are hard to come by, but of course at a fraction of the cost of the originals.
What a great piece to use for serving a loaf of bread or simply to display in your kitchen.
