Vintage Brown Transferware Square Plate Roses Belvoir Castle Picnic Pastoral Scene

For consideration is this lovely, square shaped plate in the Old Britain Castles pattern made in Staffordshire England by Johnson Brothers. This is a salad or dessert sized plate depicting a group of people having a picnic along the banks of the river at Belvoir Castle. The grounds are lush, being landscaped with large trees, walkways and bridges as illustrated by H Fennell. The border is an intricate blend of Victorian scrollwork outlined by delicate & small geometric patterns w/ lush roses and other flowers placed intermittently around it. The brown transfer has hand painted touches of blue, green, red and gold.
Measures 8" slightly scalloped
Condition…no chips or cracks, just some minor age related crazing is present.
