If you are a collector of transferware, here is a real treat...a wonderful purple transferware plate from England's Adams potteries. It is entitled Italian Scenery. Trees envelope a bucolic castle setting...a castle & mountains in the background, two men in a boat at the center. The foreground shows a woman sitting at a park bench reaching out to a little billy goat...to the left is another goat and a cow. Large flowers and greenery are at the base. The plate has a beatifully embossed border of acrons and leaves. A thin gold paint adorns the outer edge.

The plate is in good vintage condition. There is very fine allover crazing.
