Antique Set of 4 French Sarreguemines Flow Blue plates each with a different coastal scene.
Beautiful antique French flow blue plates in the sought-after Marines pattern by Sarreguemines, dating to the late 19th–early 20th century (c. 1880–1910).
These each features a serene coastal scene reflecting seaside village life. Some have boats, some figures along the shoreline and traditional wooden fishing racks and some have wonderful cliff side views. Each has a unique scene. They are rendered in soft blue tones on creamy white earthenware. The gently scalloped edge and subtle shading give it that classic, romantic European seaside feel.
A wonderful example of French transferware, perfect for display in a plate wall, English country, or coastal-inspired interior.
