Vintage Two Color English Transferware Adams Tea Cup & Saucer Blue Purple Yellow Deer & Lake Scenery

Brand Adams

For consideration is this absolutely beautiful tea cup and saucer set by Adams of Tunstall England, dating to the early 1900's.  It is a two color transfer piece having a blue transfer around the inner and outer rim of the cup, as well as the rim of the saucer.  The interior of each have a purple transfer with hand painted shades of green and yellow.  The transfer is also detailed around the rims with yellow paint.  Unusually beautiful.  The inside of the cup has grazing deer on the bank of a river.  Across the way is a large Italian style columned building.  The plate features a similar scene with shepherds in the foreground.  The colors are stunning!

Saucer is 5 3/4" x1" deep  Cup is 4 3/4" handle to opposite rim
