VINTAGE Green and Lavender / Purple TRANSFER WARE PLATTER

For consideration is this beautiful platter by Wedgwood named Bramble or Gratewood.  Bramble is the term used often in Britain and North American to describe any rough,  tangled prickly shrub, usually grown in the wild and specifically the blackberry and rasberry bushes with thorny stems. It may also refer to the blackberry fruit or products of its fruit like Bramble Jam.  The shrub grows abundantly in all parts of the British Isles and harvesting the fruits in late summer and autumn is often considered a favorite pastime by the British.  This plate features a pretty flowering Bramble wreath with a small bouquet in the center and ruffled edges. The colors are so pretty!
