Wedgwood Victorian China Aesthetic Teal Blue Transferware Plate Birds on a Branch Vase of Flowers Moonlit Castle 10"

Brand Wedgwood

This product is unavailable

Here is one of the prettiest Aesthetic Movement transferware plates I've come across. Breathtakingly beautiful!

Staffordshire England Circa 1880's

The clear and crisp EDINBURG pattern features a fantastic banded geometric border which frames a center scene of adorable birds nestled amongst the dogwood branches seeming to overlook a moonlit castle set in a cartouche below. In the foreground is a large handled urn filled with big roses and other flowers. Truly a beautiful piece! (I have kept two for my own collection in a brown polychrome...such a pretty pattern!)

Measures: 10"
Condition: Beautiful! No chips or cracks. There is crazing present, typical and commensurate to age. There are some scuff marks nad normal wear, some glaze pops, etc...all normal for antique pottery

Marked on back: Edinburgh impressed with Wedgwood and some numbers/leters

Three different sizes available, each with a different scene.
