Rare gold / yellow transferware teacup and saucer. The plate depicts an urn filled with ferns and cascading roses on an Italian terrace. It is hand painted with shades of yellow, gold, brown, green and pink. Both are bordered with fruits, flowers, foliage and scrolls. The inside of the cup features a scene on each side. The border is a blend of fanciful scrollwork and fruits with scalloped rims.
Measures: the saucer is 6.5" and the cup is 5" handle to opposite rim
Condition: No chips, cracks and little crazing, and a few surface scratches
