Here is a fabulous pair of antique Aesthetic Movement Victorian Flow Blue Rabbit Plates.  They are just beautiful with the realistic rabbits, hand painted pinks, sepia and green and the ‘flow’ of blue ink.  Very rare!!!


Registration date: Feb 4, 1891 

Backstamp dates to 1894-1900

These plates combine two techniques that were rarely used together:

Flow Blue

A cobalt transfer that intentionally blurred during firing, creating a soft halo effect.
This style was extremely popular in the U.S. between 1880–1900.

Polychrome Over-Painting

After the transfer print, decorators hand-applied enamel colors

This hybrid technique made plates more expensive than standard transferware.
