Stunning, Antique Polychrome Brown Transferware Platter

Royal Staffordshire / Clarice Cliff

Rural Scenes / Pastoral Davenport

Difficult to find!

For consideration is for one of the most beautiful pieces in brown transferware I have seen. It was produced by A J Wilkinson in the Pastoral Davenport pattern as well as under Royal Staffordshire by Clarice CLiff and called Rural Scenes.

This platter depicts a rural English village with thatched roof cottages and a small stream running through it.  The border is a stunning blend of berries intertwined amongst greenery and 4 insets of farming tools....very unique and different from most borders which consist of florals or geometric designs. This is one of the most beautiful scenes on transferware ever!

Measures: 16 1/4" x 12 7/8"

Condition:  No chips, cracks or repairs. There is crazing present, as is associated with age.
