For consideration is this antique demitasse c/s set by J. M. & Sons (John Meir & Sons) John Meir and Sons operated the Greengates Pottery at Tunstall, Staffordshire England from 1837-1897 and previously operated as John Meir from 182-1837. This gorgeous pair dates to the earlier (pre 1890) Aesthetic Movement which took place from about 1860-1910 and is a great example of this type of pottery. It is called Bamboo and depicts stalks of bamboo witha geometric border and cartouches containing rural , Victorian life and sailing scenes.

Measures: Saucer is 5.25" The cup is 3.5" handle to opposite side of rim and is 2.5" tall

Condition: There is some crazing and minor wear around the rim. A couple of nicks on the foot rim of the cup which were done during manufacture and glazed over. Nothing significant.
