Another piece from Spode's Byron pattern is this lovely, nearly 9" (hard to find size and color) luncheon or small dinner plate. This brown plate is very difficult to find in this colorway featuring a deep burgundy-brown trim and hand colored touches of the same, gold, green and robins egg blue.
This depicts a man on horseback with his dogs close by, preparing for a hunt. The border is a pretty trellis covered in grapes.
Measures 8 3/4"
Condition: Great! No chips, no cracks...jsut a little crazing and minor rim wear to the green painted border.
