Here is a very rare, and unusual Octagon shaped Wedgwood series pattern plate dating to the height of the Aesthetic Movement and showcasing that period in time with its geometric shape and subject matter of animals and botanicals. This plate depicts a rooster or hen perched atop a remnant of wood fencing surround by lush plants and flowers. Another chicken is across the way to the side.
Measurements: 9 3/4"
Condition: Good condition, some crazing and subtle light browning / staining (may come out) as shown in photos.
Markings: The plate is impressed with 'Wedgwood' and numbers which I cannot make out as well as stamp marked: Trade Mark "RUSTIC" across a vase, Wedgwood, Copyright DEPOSE 7
