DIFFICULT TO FIND

For consideration is this rare, polychrome purple transferware plate by Booths of England in the pattern entitled Early American Scenes. The plate depicts an early settlement scene of Mt Vernon.  This piece a piecrust edgeing and hanpainted touches of yellow/gold, green and blue underglaze on the purple transfer. It is an absolutely beautiful combination and rare to find purple polychrome like this!



MEASUREMENTS: 9 1/2”

Condition is good  There is crazing present, commensurate to age.
