BROWN AESTHETIC TRANSFER WARE TEAPOT

For consideration is this antique teapot by G L Ashworth & Brothers of Hanley, North Staffordshire England in the delicate Empress pattern. This gorgeous Aesthetic Movement pot dates to the later part of the 1800's. The transfer of flowing scrolls intertwined with leaves and stylized flowers wraps around the teapot rom one side of the handle to the other, and around the lid of the teapot. Both handle and spout are decorated as well. Ashworth later became part of the Masons group of potters.(1968)

Matching tea cups and saucers, plates and finger bowls are being listed separately

Measures: 9 1/8" handle to spout x 7" tall with lid in place

Condition: Crazing, commensurate with age, is present. No chips or cracks. There is one tiny fleabite/mfg. flaw around the rim of the pot that's about 1 mm and completely covered with the lid in place. It is rather miniscule but I wanted to mention for accuracy.
