Brand Gustafsberg

This product is unavailable

This gorgeous piece is by the Swedish pottery called Gustavsberg porcelain factory which was founded in 1827 near Stockholm, Sweden. It is best known to collectors for its twentieth-century artwares, especially a green stoneware with silver inlay called Argenta. Its items are in the art deco style, but it first made transfer-printed creamware in the English style which is now very hard to find, such as this lovely rimmed soup bowl. The bowl details a bird, butterfly and dragonfly hovering around the many botanicals.  Gold highlights.   It dates to the late 19th Century.

Measures:  9 1/4"

Condition:  No chips, no cracks.  There is a little wear to the gold trims

Marked: Gustafsberg Wexio and Imprinted Gustavsberg with impressed numbers as shown in last photo
