Cornflowers and Fruits

This beautifully detailed plate dates to the Aesthetic Movement (late 1800's) and was made by one of the greatest potteries in the world, Spode/Copeland. It is a black transfer with a lustre finish and handpainted shades of gold. .

Measures: just under 10"

Condition: Very good, no chips or cracks. I found no crazing. There are faint surface scratches which can be seen when turned in light at an angle. The condition is beautiful!

Marked: impressed with the word Copeland and a B below. It is also hand numbered 2 over 2396 (which would be the pattern number) and a small mark, probably artist initials but I cannot make them out.
